Cindy Dvergsten holds a degree in Natural Resource Management and Soil Science and is a Holistic Management Certified Educator. She has worked for several Federal Agencies and currently is in private practice as an educator, facilitator and consultant. She has experience in business enterprise development, rural community issues, agriculture, land use planning, marketing and writing.

Cindy operates a small grass based farm in SW Colorado where she has lived 27 years. Their livetock include Navajo Churro Sheep and beef steers raised on grass, Bourbon Red Turkeys, and 200 laying hens. She also raises a market garden featuring lettuce mixes. They sell their produce and meat directly to local stores, retuaraunts and individuals.
